The term ‘DERMATOGLYPHICS‘ have been derived from Greek words Derma means skin; and Glyphic means carving or design. So the ridge pattern appearing on the first phallange of our fingers, palmer area or on the sole are covered by the term ‘DERMATOGLYPHICS’.
